AIESEC – Rudnik Cooperation
On Friday, April 3, the NTP Regional Innovational StartUp Centre in Čačak hosted a Youth Speak Forum for secondary school students, organized by the AIESEC Youth Speak Global Initiative and the Rudnik company. The speakers at the forum included: Ivan Komatina, director of the Contango company, who spoke of the importance of mining from a managerial point of view, Dubravka Tomić, manager for corporative communications, marketing and corporate social responsibility/SDG from the Rudnik i flotacija Rudnik company, who spoke about corporate social responsibility, the implementation of sustainable development goals in business, climate changes and CO2 impression reduction in the company, and Nevena Nenadović, an expert analyst of enviroment protection and a coordinator for corporate social responsibility of the Rudnik i flotacija Rudnik company, who spoke about the ecological declaration of products, waste management and circular economy in the company.
The forum also featured a Case Study involving the formation of teams working on preliminary designs and suggestions related to mining activities. The best team received an award.
Through its initiatives in Serbia, AIESEC inspires and encourages young people to become responsible leaders who contribute to the dNelopment of their community and society. Youth Speak is a global AIESEC initiative connecting young people and encouraging them to talk about the major challenges of the modern worled. Founded on the United Nations’ sustainable development goals, this initiative represents an area where ideas are converted into specific drives and change.
